Posted on Wednesday December 03, 2008 by Pete

Ingredients:
1 small bottle of prechopped, peeled garlic
1 can of roasted red peppers
fresh basil
balsamic vinegar
olive oil
lemon
black pepper

1 lb of skirt steak
1 bottle of Mrs. Dash No Sodium Marinade 'Mesquite Grill'

______________

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Pour garlic, roasted red peppers, basil, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, lemon and black pepper into aluminum foil.  Place in a pyrex in case the alumium foil breaks - fold alumium foil into a pouch - roast for approx. 1 hour or until the garlic is fork-soft.

Let the garlic come to room temperature, and then smash on a cutting board with a fork - mix into marinade and place steak into marinade.

Grill steaks until they are done to personal preference.

Enjoy!!!!

mikep: Great recipe...but I have a question? I love garlic, but everytime I eat something that has garlic in it, the following day I smell like garlic. To the point where people make comments. Is this common? Is there a way to eliminate this embarrassing problem? I can scrub and scrub...but in the end.... I still still stink!
