"Pete, Just want to start by thanking you for your blog. I've learned a lot from all your tips and advice. I recently watched your latest video about HIIT and thought you might be able to give me some advice. I am 6'1 and weigh about 160 lbs. I've been working out 5 to 6 days a week over the past two years( a mix of weight training, and cardio, plus a little yoga). I'm in pretty good shape, but have a difficult time putting on and maintaining muscle. A few months ago, I decided to try an experiment...I cut out cardio from my routine completely and just focused solely on weight training. Over the past few months, I've had great results. I see a big change in myself, and others have seen a change in me as well. I'm really excited about my progress, but I feel as though I should be doing at least some cardio, and I want to start bringing that back into my routine (especially as the summer months get closer!). How would you advise I do this? Is it better to do one day of cardio (let's say 45min of HIIT per week)?...Or should I split it up and do shorter cardio workouts throughout the week (let's say 20min as a warm up to my weight training)? I was previously doing two days of cardio per week...one day high intensity, the other lower intensity. I'm worried that if I start doing too much cardio, I will lose the muscle mass that I've gained over these past few months. Would really appreciate your advice."
"Het Pete, I am Mike from Hong Kong again. I have asked you a question regarding weight gain before. And now I would like to ask is it possible to gain weight and muscle without going to gym? Also, there are lots of protein powder available in the market, I don't know what to choose? Do you have any advice, such as brand name and the product name? (I know GNC, is it good?) Best regards, Mike"
"Can you build muscle and lose fat and the same time? (Example: Get bigger arms and but lose belly fat.)...And how can you lose facial fat and get a more chiseled face?"
