Protein & Fatigue at The Gym
Posted on Monday June 13, 2011 by Pete

'Peter, I have 3 questions about protein. The first is when you say to use a certain amount of protein per body weight-are you referring to current body weight or goal body weight? (I am trying to lose weight so mine would be lower). Second is should you use protein shakes (like pre/post shakes) on your non-lifting days. And third, you say you take your post workout shake immediately after your workouts, does that mean immediately after weights, or after you do your cardio workout after the weights-assuming you do them back to back. Thanks in advance and I really appreciate your website and help'

'Hi Pete, I first want to thank you for your website and all the great information you've provided. I've been following your site for some time now. I wrote in once before and your answer was very helpful - I'm hoping you can answer another question. When I'm nearing the end of a lifting session at the gym, naturally I'm feeling tired. When I'm getting too tired to complete 3 sets of 10 reps for an exercise, which strategy do you recommend I employ: (1) leave the weight alone and reduce the reps per set, or (2) lower the weight so that I can crank out 10 reps for the set? Thanks again Pete! Mike'

*As you can tell, I am still trying to figure out the best location to film the video segments in my new location; this video is a little bit dark, but hopefully I can find a spot for next week.  Bear with me.  :)
