Poolside: Coffee and Tea Discussion

Peter: David - good point. Coffee is not "bad" per se, it's just that tea has many more health benefits (higher concentration of antioxidants, minerals, weight loss, etc) than coffee does. Also, the amount of caffeine in coffee can dehydrate the body whereas you don't have that issue with tea. But you are correct, coffee is not something to definitely avoid, just drink it in moderation, 1 cup, not 4 or 5. -Peter
David: Why is coffee so bad? It's got antioxidants, caffeine, probably in greater quantities than tea. The biggest problem that people have with coffee is that they can only drink it with sweeteners and creamer. These things, particularly sugar and butter fat, are the nail in the coffin for bodybuilders. Coffee itself, like everything in moderation, is good.
