Overweight Question and Training Update

Both Ernest and Jessica wrote into the blog stating that they are both overweight and want to make improvements.  I answered in the Q & A and also did this video segment.  Towards the end of the segment, I talk about the progress in my training for the shoot in LA from June 4th to June 6th. 


'Where should someone start when they are morbidy obese, after obviously being approved by doctors to work out. Where should someone start? I am female, about 5'6" at about 375lbs. I'm honestly trying to find answers as to where someone like me should start - generally people are looking to lose a few pounds, not a whole other obese person. Can You help? Have any advise? 'Peter, I have a LOT of weight to lose. I started in 2005, and for almost 2 years made a good go of it, and lose quite a few inches off my waist. Last winter, I gave up. I wasn't seeing results, and I became frustrated. Now it's May, and I've gained part of my weight back. ANY tips on starting fresh AGAIN, and really seeing results as far as a work out? I do know how to eat right, and know about carbs vs. protein, vs. fats, etc, and nutrition in general. I don't want to be a model, I just want to have a 3 in my waist, and a 2 in my weight, and feel good again. HELP!'

RebBust: here is my problem , i have hired a trainner ,he is really good, but i need more help in loosing my stomach . i have went down from a 38 to a 32 in waist,but my stomach does not match my waist it sticks out and i want it flat and tight. i do a lot of abs workout and i see my six pack popping out .. i know im not eating right i have seen your meal plan , but i just dont have enough time to cook , what can i do to eat right ,that i can i get from the grocery store, and open the item and eat it. OH im really tired of going to Jack n the Box and spending 9 bucks a day on a grilled chicken salad.. and i burn at least 600 calories a day doing cardio when i go to the gym to burn the fat but it is not helping ..

Peter Adonis: Thanks Cindy! I weighed in on Friday at 220 lbs, exactly my target goal for the shoot, so I'm all ready to go. This weekend, I'll get some sun as a final touch. -Peter Adonis
