Increasing the Number of Weekly Gym Visits
Posted on Monday January 24, 2011 by Pete

Hello Pete, first thanks a lot for your podcast, it makes a lot of fun and is very interesting. About myself, I am 47, 6ft and 185 pounds. I was working out a lot when I was in my 30's but professional and sentimental obligations made that I had less and less time to exercise and till I reached 202 pounds and I had to do something ! So I joined a gym in January last year, going 4 times a week with an emphasis on cardio and a routine 60 mn xtrainer, 10 mn xtrainer + 50 minutes mixed training, 60 mn xtrainer, 10mn xtrainer + 50 mn mixed training. I also changed my diet trying to eat less fat and more green. Result was not bad since I lost 17 ... But I kind of stalled since 4 month so at the beginning of the year I changed my routine to the following : 1 x 75 mn chest + arms + abs (+10 mn xtrainer warm-up), 1 x 75 mn legs + back + abs (+10 mn xtrainer warm-up) and 3 x 60 mn cardio. I am not sure if am doing the right thing. I would like to loose a little bit more weight to reach 165 pounds and get rid of the "ring" at the belt .... knowing that at my age my body does not respond exactly at it was to ;-) Do you have any advice you could give me ? Thanks in advance and thanks again for your work. Ricky
