Detox
Posted on Monday March 09, 2009 by Pete
So, my local health food store is doing a 4 week detox that I'm looking forward to participating in. They are growing their own sprouts to use, and will use wheatgrass and a lot of fresh greens. Every day the drink will be a bit different, and the variety will add to benefits of the detox, so that one day it might be a liver cleanse, while the next it could be a kidney cleanse, while the next might be antioxidant rich, et cetera.
For those of you who follow the blog, you will notice that I'm just as concerned as health/wellness as I am about looking good. Doing the detox is something that may not have any outward manifestations, but internally it could have a great benefit. I will keep all of you posted on what exact ingredients are in the shakes, and how it is going.
My training is coming along strong, and here are some pictures that I took after last week's chest workout, so you can see the intense pump. I've been incorporating dips and incline pushups into my chest routine, both for the development of the lower pecs, and that has seemed to work so far, so I'm definitely going to continue with those 2 exercises. Also, finishing out with the incline pushups really just gives an IMMENSE pump just before leaving the gym, it really seems to be a great finishing movement for chest.
I hope all is well with all of you. Just recently, one of the followers of the blog emailed me about how he has lost 87 lbs by following this blog, and working hard in the gym. When he gets to 100 lbs, we are going to do a feature on him with before/after photos and an interview, so some of you out there might draw inspiration and guidance from him. So, stay tuned for that! :-)
